The formula

Conversion rate = conversions ÷ selected denominator × 100

Worked example · sample data

20 conversions from 400 clicks gives a click-based conversion rate of 5%.

Before you use the result

The result names its denominator. A session-based rate and an ad-interaction-based rate are different measurements.

Counting every conversion can produce a rate above 100% when one interaction leads to several actions. A user conversion rate requires converted users as the numerator if each user should count only once.

Conversions may arrive after the reporting period ends. Compare reports with aligned attribution rules and processing times.
